Fairfax County is considering this facility its flagship family shelter, and aims to mimic its design and features in their other shelters. The 17,000 SF structure can house up to 20 families while providing a productive and tranquil environment. At no extra cost, the shelter was designed as a green building, with materials that provide superior energy efficiency while providing a residential look.
