Ms. Shields has led design teams for more than two decades. Her range of expertise includes, tenant improvements, construction administration, programming, studies, and interior architecture. The renovations of historic structures, office buildings, secure facilities, and educational facilities are a significant part of her diverse portfolio. Ms. Shields has worked for multiple secure sites; working extensively with the General Services Administration US Army Corps of Engineers, and other US government agencies including the US Secret Service. In addition, Ms. Shields has completed renovation projects with various Higher Education institutions in the Washington D.C. Metro Area. Her key projects include BRAC-133 at Mark Center and an 880,000 SF secure campus for the federal government.
